What are the best materials for building structures? What properties do they have that make them suitable? As material scientists and structural engineers, students will investigate the criteria that make materials suitable for structural uses. They will study the properties of materials used in construction through testing the strength of spaghetti. Tension and compression will be discussed. (3-5-ETS1-3, ETS1.B)
